Meet Our Team

Hedy McDermott is the Billing Manager for Continuum HomeCare Solutions; she has been with Continuum since 2007. Hedy went to the Florida College for Medical and Dental Assistants in the early 1980s and she has worked for several large physicians groups prior to relocating to Northern Virginia. She is incredibly knowledgeable about all of the nuances of health insurance and our patients have come to rely on her expertise in helping them navigate this often challenging aspect of their recovery. Hedy and her husband live in Fairfax Virginia.

Sue Steiger has been with Continuum for over 5 years and is currently the Visit Supervisor of Continuum HomeCare Solutions. With over 24 years of medical experience in both outpatient and inpatient settings, she possesses strong customer service skills, patient awareness and a robust pharmaceutical background. Sue holds an Associate’s Degree in Business Administration from Tidewater Community College and a Pharmaceutical Technician Degree from the Naval School of Health Sciences in Portsmouth, VA. She also has a Hospital Corpsman Certificate from her time in the US Navy. After her Naval service, Sue worked for a large hospital in Virginia Beach, Virginia where she was involved with decedent affairs, scheduling, the supervisor’s office, the IV Team and as a cardiac technologist.

Kay works with referral sources throughout the DC/Baltimore region in promoting Continuum’s services and assisting in coordination of care with other providers. Kay has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications from George Mason University. Her healthcare marketing career spans over 20 years during which she has enjoyed working with leading physicians groups, specialty healthcare providers and staffing agencies nationally. Kay currently resides in Alexandria with her husband and three children.
