Continuum HomeCare Solutions is a division of Continuum Pediatric Nursing Services which provides intermittent skilled nursing visits to adults as well as children. Continuum Pediatric Nursing Services evolved in the early 90's, staffing nursing personnel in various health care settings, including hospitals and nursing homes. After developing a special bond with a baby in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, Continuum's nurses were asked to assist with the transition home to the family.
From this experience, Continuum began advocating for families, expanding the possibilities of home care for patients who would have previously been limited to acute or long term care as their only options. By taking on cases that other agencies did not have the capability to handle, such as the first child in Northern Virginia to come home from the hospital on a ventilator, Continuum has steadily gathered the expertise necessary to change the lives of hundreds of families throughout the Mid-Atlantic region.
Today, over fifteen years later, Continuum is the preeminent provider of pediatric home care in the D.C., Pittsburgh and Norfolk metropolitan areas. With over 150 nurses in the D.C./Baltimore market alone, we continue to attract the best clinicians in the region to serve our patients.
And now, with Continuum HomeCare Solutions, our mission to provide this high level of care has expanded beyond shift-oriented private duty to include intermittent visits to all ages and demographics. Already the first agency in the nation to administer Naglazyme treatments in the home, we are proud to continue our history of leading the way in home care for our patients and our clients.
